That's right, You heard the news here first. Left Street Studio's is
making a major move real soon. But it's propably not the type of move
you are thinking about. The domain is staying the same. The hosting
service and database is staying the same. The entire website is staying
the same ( except for some code updates which you may notice that
includes the online store). The physical address of Left Street
Studio's is changing.
As of this writing I'm propably about 9 days from the final actions
that will make the purchase of the new home final. Although there is
allot of work that will be needed, I hope it will go smoothly and
quickly. This will replace the home I lost through 2005's tragic
hurricane season. It's been almost a year and a half, yet the
rebuilding proccess is still going on for most folks, including us
here. Once the sale is final it will be a free and clear title I own
and will have plenty of space to 'set up shop'. This new home will give
me aproximately 800 square feet of space to start building the studio
up from scratch, this is aside from the regular living area. It is a 2
story house sitting on a little over an acre of land with almost 2200
sq/ft of interior space, and although it
needs some work to get it to my standards, it's a great start none the
less. There is also a nice size storage shed out back that has about
200 sq/ft storage with potential for other developement. It also has a
private Lake that borders the rear of the property. Wooden decking,
existing large Gazebo and second floor balcony adds to the charm. This
will be a nice place for others to get together and colaborate inside
and out when I'm finished. Works are already being planned to restore
the exterior to it's
new look and glory and should take about 4 days tops. Chemical
treatments and the needed tools are already at my disposal. Next will
be gutting out the entire bottom floor and laying a new hard wood
flooring throught. After that the Kitchen is going to get a brand new
makeover, one that will be worthy of shooting my Cooking Series in.
So for those that have been here and read some of the 'few' posts, I
hope this doesn't discourage you . This will be a MAJOR move towards
toe operation of the website as a actual and, then, physical studio
with all needed structural and components in place. Please note that
there will be no setup for sound recording on the premisis as that will
be beyond the scope of any of my projects. All sound recordings will be
contracted out on an item by item bases based on the requests of the
client and/or the recording studio. Recording studio's should sign up
and post their available offerings and limitations on the forums so
they can be contacted. Once the LS studio is up and running in full
force we may reserve the rights to remove these listings and post them
as commercial contacts as we see fit, in their discression, and their
inclusion to the guidelines to the LS code of conduct ( these will be
outlined at a later date).
Enough of the Legal mumbo jumbo, The news here is we moving soon,
weather you like it or not. The updates on our progress will be posted
as they happen. But for now here is the new LS studio as it sits,
before i get my hands on it and start making my 'improvements'
